About Us

Adhyatma Space began with conversations we kept having again and again with friends, family, and even strangers at chai stalls. We talked about why we follow certain rituals, what our festivals really mean, and whether our grandparents’ beliefs have any real foundation. Most of us grew up surrounded by Hindu traditions but never received clear answers to our honest questions.

The internet did not help much. It often offered either overly academic texts that were difficult to understand or superficial content that felt made for tourists. So we decided to write in a way that reflects how we actually speak and think.

We are a small team of writers, researchers, and curious individuals interested in Hindu philosophy, mythology, Ayurveda, and the knowledge that has existed in our own backyard for thousands of years. Some of us are deeply religious and others are not. What we share is a belief that this knowledge deserves to be explored honestly and without pretense.

We write about festivals and the meanings behind them. We explore mantras, rituals, and stories from the Puranas and epics, and we look at how these ideas hold up in today’s world. We do not aim to preach or oversimplify. If something is complex, we say so. If a popular belief might be a myth, we examine that too with respect and honesty.

This space is for anyone who feels drawn to these traditions, whether you know them well or are just beginning to explore them. We are glad you are here.
